About our Founding Leader:  Dr. Carma Barlow has been in education for nearly 20 years.  Carma grew up in the Northeast community and continues to live in the area. She is deeply committed to helping the community continue to grow and thrive. She has served as founding principal at a charter school for 8 years.  She has also served as a Literacy Coach, Dean of Students, Instructional Coach, Director of Instructional Leaders, and teacher. In each of these roles, Carma has achieved a record of success that has shown her what is possible for students. She is ready to make the possible actual with RISE STEAM Academy.
